  • We're ready for a new week and eager to see what God is going to use us to do for Him!  Judah and I had a sick week last week and are still recovering, but getting much better.  It was so great for Ryan to have a 3 day weekend, but unfortunately, I got deathly ill on Friday afternoon and spent most of the day in bed, so we didn't get to hang out much and work on the house together.  Ryan got a lot done on his own and even took care of Judah and some laundry, too.  Thank you, Ry!  We now have beautiful trim around our doorway going into the new bathroom, a door on the basement, new floor boards in on an area that was needing to be replaced in the kitchen, and some more mud up on the drywall.  Plus, Ryan totally cleaned out his side of the basement which had just piled up with construction stuff, so it is all ready to go out on trash day this week.  Oh, and he put up a curtain rod in the living room.  Now we just need to find a curtain!  Things are coming along for sure.
So Judah is now five months old and so much fun!  He is rolling over from his back to his tummy often, but gets mad because he gets stuck on his tummy.  We have a backwards child, since normally rolling form tummy to back is much easier. :)  He loves baths, standing up, getting a clean diaper, and sucking his thumb or toes.  He does not love being sick, however!  He is starting to lean forward when we put him in his seat, so we can tell that his stomach muscles are getting stronger and he will be wanting to sit up soon.  I got him to laugh a lot yesterday by swinging him up and tossing him into the air a little bit.  He thought that was great fun.
Ok, here's the sad news of the week.  Yesterday when I was trying to clean up a little, I stepped on a nail in Ryan's construction room.  It was from the door frame that he had just taken down, so I know it was old.  It just barely pricked my toe, but it definitely broke the skin since there was a little bit of blood.  I haven't had a tetanus shot since before 7th grade (15 years ago), so I'm needing one, especially since we're working on an old house.  I have an appointment tonight to get one, so I'm thankful for that.  I didn't have a primary care doctor and one place wasn't taking new patients, the second place I called didn't answer, but God allowed me to get in with the third place.  So, please pray that  my body would be protected from illness until then!
Please pray for Judah and I and the rest of the sick people around here.  We have camps going on this week, do we need well people.
