Here I am trying up load new pictures for the week to post and I realized that I didn't take any all week, so sorry! However, there is some breaking news. Judah is on a blanket next to my desk and I put him on his tummy and looked down a minute later and he was on his back. He rolled over for the first time and I missed it! I put him back on his tummy and prepared myself with my camera in hand, but nothing. :( We'll try again later. Yesterday he found his feet and they are his new favorite toy. He is growing and learning new things so fast! Today we go to the doctor for his four month check-up and shots, so please pray for him! God has protected him for sure the first two times that he got shots, so I trust Him this time, too. He's so good to us!
Yesterday Cornerstone was so encouraging. We have been doing things to love and serve others because of what Jesus has done for us (I John 4:7-10). We talked about Romans 12:5, which says that as believers, we are all part of Jesus' body and we each have different jobs, but we all need each other. The girls were able to help each other with homework yesterday. I had that planned, but was a little worried that it would be boring and wouldn't work out so well, but it did. It ended up that Shalia was the only one with homework and all of the girls helped her out and then we talked about the verse and saw how each of us had helped her in different ways to get the job done. And it was so much more fun for her than doing it alone. Pray that we would use this simple example of being the family of God to make a big difference in our lives.
Oh, I almost forgot. Gracie, who I watch every Wednesday, was over yesterday. She sleeps in Judah's bed when she's here and Judah sleeps on our bed, since he can't roll over from his back to stomach yet. I glanced in at him yesterday and he was laying there in his Detroit army t-shirt that Great Uncle Conner and Great Aunt Alex had sent him with his diaper and cover completely off! It was so funny, but I was so surprised that I didn't even think of taking a picture to show Ryan. Praise the Lord that he hadn't peed or pooped during this time. So funny. I have no idea how that one happened!
Ryan started a new job in plant 12 this week and is loving it. He is the leader of two guys, but still under the same boss he has always had. He is still working hard on the bathroom, too. He bought doors this week and tried hard to install one, but finally figured out that there is a problem with it, so he needs to take it back. At least he got to practice before putting up the real one so he can avoid the scratches this time!
We are preparing for camps around here--they start in 1 1/2 weeks. This year is flying by. Next week will be busy with that, I'm sure, around here at the office. It's also our last week of Cornerstone for the school year. We'll meet throughout the summer, but just not as regularly because of camps and vacations. The girls decided that they wanted to go to a park and eat ice cream. Sounds good to me!
